Soil Evaluation

  • A ticket from Ohio Utilities Protection Service (OUPS) must be obtained before we arrive to complete the evaluation.
  • Please note that test holes are required for our evaluation. Please wait for us to discuss with you your plans for the property onsite before excavating the test pit(s) and ensure that grass has been mowed.
  • Weather events may delay appointments.

The Ross County Health District now offers soil evaluations!

On the application, “area cleared and accessible” does not mean to clear land with earth moving equipment. This phrase is meant to ensure that grass has been mowed, small woody shrubs and woody stems have been removed, and that crops have been harvested. This is to ensure that topography, contour, and system locations can be appropriately marked by being visually accessible.
