Health Commissioner: Janelle McManis, MPH, REHS
Medical Director: Dr. Christopher Brown, MD, MPH
Director of Public Health Nursing: Michelle Long, BSN, RN has been employed by the Health District since 1997. Mrs. Long has worked in various public health nursing programs and grants over the years, and was promoted to Director of Public Health Nursing in January of 2019.
Director of Child & Family Health: Amie Unger, BS, began working in Public Health in 2005 as a Home Visitor/Service Coordinator with the Help Me Grow Program with the Ross County Health District after graduating from Ohio University. In 2011 she became the Program Manager until 2015 when she transitioned into the role of Regional Home Visiting Program Consultant with the Ohio Department of Health. In 2021, Amie returned to the Ross County Health District and has since served as the Director of Children and Family Health. Amie oversees Help Me Grow Home Visiting in Ross and Jackson County, the Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program and Moms Quit for Two for Ross County.
Director of Environmental Health: Kelly Spindler, BA, REHS began working in Pike County as a sanitarian in 1994 and worked at RCHD from 1996-2012. During that time she became Field Supervisor and then Director. She then went to Fairfield Department of Health as Director of EH until March of 2021 and returned to RCHD in March 2021 as Director of EH.
Director of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement: Kim Hardesty, BS began working in public health in 2010 with the Ross County Health District, and after spending time working with non-profits and state government, returned to Ross County in 2019.
