RCHD’s Administration Division consists of communications, finance, grant reporting, human resources, management, and vital statistics.
Child & Family Health
RCHD’s Child & Family Health Division offers the Help Me Grow support program for pregnant women or new parents that promote healthy growth and development for babies and young children.
RCHD Home Visiting staff are well-trained professionals who use a non-judgmental and compassionate approach that gives parents the skills, tools, and confidence to nurture the healthy growth of their children.
Our Child Passenger Safety Program provides child safety seats and booster seats to eligible, low-income families in all Ohio counties. Our certified child passenger safety technicians also provide car seat safety check inspections and can help ensure that your car seat is the right fit for your child.
The Every Baby Sleeps Safe initiative works to prevent infant sleep-related deaths by educating parents and caregivers on the importance of practicing safe sleep for their babies and by providing portable cribettes to families who cannot afford a safe place for their babies to sleep.
Environmental Health
RCHD’s Environmental Health Division serves on the front line of helping keep Ross County healthy and safe for its residents. From food service inspections to mosquito control, household sewage treatment systems, and more, we are here to serve our community well.
Health Promotion & Quality Improvement
RCHD’s Health Promotion & Quality Improvement programs help support active transportation, drug overdose prevention, healthful eating initiatives, and more for Ross County residents.
Public Health Nursing
RCHD’s Public Health Nursing Division conducts infectious disease investigations, provides immunizations, and offers a variety of resources to improve public health in our local communities. Our Public Health Nursing Clinic is open for appointments Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (except holidays) to provide vaccines, TB skin tests, Hep C and HIV testing, pregnancy tests, and immunization records.
Trauma-informed training is facilitated through the Adolescent Health Resiliency grant to help educate our community on the signs of trauma in adolescents and help bring needed healing with compassionate care.
The Complex Medical Help (CMH) Program links families of children with special health care needs to a network of quality providers and helps families obtain payments for services their child needs.
RCHD’s Medical Mobile Unit meets you where you are, providing ADA-compliant access and offering the same services available at the Ross County Health District.
Women, Infants, & Children (WIC)
Ross County WIC and Pickaway County WIC provide breastfeeding resources to new moms and monthly benefits to buy healthful foods for qualifying families.
