Dashboard Key Terms, Definitions, and Disclaimer

Please note, all data is preliminary and is subject to change as new information is collected by RCHD through case investigations and as information is reported by health care systems / providers and from the Ohio Department of Health

New Community Cases = the number of cases reported today that occur in the community in non-congregate living settings.

New Hospitalizations = the number of COVID-19 related hospital admissions reported today from Ross County COVID-19 confirmed or probable cases.  This is not a total amount of hospitalizations at local hospital systems, just the number of new hospitalizations of COVID-19 positive Ross County residents reported to the health district.

New Congregate Setting Cases = the number of new cases from residents that live in congregate settings such as prisons, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities and other congregate settings (like group homes, homeless shelters, and other congregate living settings).

Total Ross County Cases Per Month = the total number of cases that have occurred in Ross County since March of 2020 by month  This includes laboratory confirmed cases and probable cases and does not include suspected cases and includes both non congregate setting cases (community cases) and congregate setting cases.   All data for the current month is subject to change daily as new cases are reported to RCHD.

Total Hospitalizations = the total cumulative number of COVID-19 related hospital admissions reported from Ross County cases.

Total Confirmed Deaths = the total number of COVID-19 related deaths confirmed by Ross County Health District.

Reported Hospital Admissions per Day = the number of COVID-19 related hospital admissions reported per day from Ross County COVID-19 confirmed or probable cases.  This is not a total amount of hospitalizations at local hospital systems, just the number of new hospitalizations of COVID-19 confirmed positive or probable Ross County residents that are reported to the health district.
